Samsung Galaxy S9 : end of support for official-s build - Wait for official-t or upgrade to community-t (and how)?

Hi community !
It’s my first post, I use /e/ for 2 years on galaxy s9, I like it and I’m happy to join this forum. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
Sorry for my english, it will sometimes be strange… :joy:
My version of /e/ is the official build “S” (based on AOSP 12).

I read in the note of the last OTA update (3.0.4) that it was the last one based on AOSP 12 :

I read some topics in this forum, that are more or less about this question, especially this one :

My first question is : Does it means the end of support for official build, or are you preparing some over-the-air upgrade to an official build “T” based on AOSP13 ?

If not, what’s the basic path to upgrade from the “S” official build to the “T” community build ?
Should I wait for such over-the-air upgrade wich will do this, or may I perform a “dirty” upgrade, as explained in these topics (that I have not completely understood ) ?

and this old one :

I have to precise that my bootloader is not TWRP, but the /e/ bootloader.

If the way is to do a dirty update, just say it to me without details, then I will write here what I understood about that in the topics, and you will just correct or confirm me…

Thanks !!

So first to check are you running official or community check your full_build_string.

Check this from the install page, Install /e/OS on a Samsung Galaxy S9 - “starlte”

Downloads for starlte

You are asking from a position of official (??) – in the title.

No OTA Upgrade for official is published and there is no published official-t build so that is not an option.

Changing from official to community is advised to Factory reset.

So change from official-s to community-t might count as a “very dirty upgrade”.

The prior question would be “Are you planning to build official-t (or maybe official-a14) ?”

Android version OTA Upgrade is the next step after a build is available.

If I was to jump ship from official-s to community-t I would Factory reset for a clean experience. Last time I said this it was pointed out in the nicest possible way that I am “conservative”.

Thanks @aibd for your answer.

I’m running official : 3.0.4-s-20250711508139-official-starlte

Right, that’s exactely what I wanted to ask !
Do someone know if you are planning to do that ?

Ok :ok_hand:, so if I have to upgrade manually, I will first factory reset.
