[UNOFFICIAL BUILD] Samsung Galaxy S 5 LTE (klte) and other variants for /e/OS-T using LOS-UL

I assume you are using Aurora Store? I think the standard setting is a Pixel 5 device there…

I had installed CrDroid and added Open GApps arm 11.0 pico.

I confirm that adb sideload is not possible with 2.7

Apply for SD card is the way

e T Works beautifully on this S5 !

Thanks @ronnz98

I can confirm that also on e-2.6.3-t-20241222-UNOFFICIAL-klte (and also S) the SIM PIN has to be disabled for the SIM card to be recognized by the system. Being curious, I then enabled the PIN again and on the next reboot I ended up with the same error (and had to use a different phone to disable the PIN again).

hi @ronnz98,

what about these other variant ? do you think update or upgrade possible ?

I performed the same operation as you to disable the PIN on another phone.

Latest nougat builds were possible:

Another peculiar thing in e-2.6.3-t-20241222-UNOFFICIAL-klte: VLC has no audio output. Neither “AudioTrack” nor “OpenSL ES” work.
No big deal, as there are other players around. But maybe someone knows the reason or even a solution.

Please use 2.7-T for klte

Upgraded to 2.7-T, still no sound in VLC.

e-2.6.3-t-20241223-UNOFFICIAL-kltekdi and e-2.7-t-20250117-UNOFFICIAL-kltekdi
the default SMS massage app is broken always forceclose
can i use gapps? and which one? nikgapps only support arm64

Gapps are not possible because unwanted, unneeded on a device running degoogled /e/OS there is microG.

If an usual app don’t work, replace it by a FOSSIFY one from AppLounge or F-droid , here, Fossify SMS Messenger | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository

Some weird behaviour on 2.7 for klte :

  • I can install apps from Fdroid
  • I cannot install app from aurora : it says " download fail" but I feel it’s actually the install that fails , the permissions seems to be absent for aurora to run correctly in the app details

Does it work? If yes I can do builds for the other variants

It works fine, but the battery drains. I went to bed with 79 percent, and in the morning it shut off with no battery left.
