[UNOFFICIAL BUILD] Samsung Galaxy S 5 LTE (klte) and other variants for /e/OS-T using LOS-UL

I assume you are using Aurora Store? I think the standard setting is a Pixel 5 device there…

I had installed CrDroid and added Open GApps arm 11.0 pico.

I confirm that adb sideload is not possible with 2.7

Apply for SD card is the way

e T Works beautifully on this S5 !

Thanks @ronnz98

I can confirm that also on e-2.6.3-t-20241222-UNOFFICIAL-klte (and also S) the SIM PIN has to be disabled for the SIM card to be recognized by the system. Being curious, I then enabled the PIN again and on the next reboot I ended up with the same error (and had to use a different phone to disable the PIN again).

I performed the same operation as you to disable the PIN on another phone.

Another peculiar thing in e-2.6.3-t-20241222-UNOFFICIAL-klte: VLC has no audio output. Neither “AudioTrack” nor “OpenSL ES” work.
No big deal, as there are other players around. But maybe someone knows the reason or even a solution.

the default SMS massage app is broken always forceclose
can i use gapps? and which one? nikgapps only support arm64

Gapps are not possible because unwanted, unneeded on a device running degoogled /e/OS there is microG.

If an usual app don’t work, replace it by a FOSSIFY one from AppLounge or F-droid , here, Fossify SMS Messenger | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository

Some weird behaviour on 2.7 for klte :

  • I can install apps from Fdroid
  • I cannot install app from aurora : it says " download fail" but I feel it’s actually the install that fails , the permissions seems to be absent for aurora to run correctly in the app details

Does it work? If yes I can do builds for the other variants

It works fine, but the battery drains. I went to bed with 79 percent, and in the morning it shut off with no battery left.

It worked just fine “e-2.9-t-20250408-UNOFFICIAL-klte”, i have tested it on my SM-G900F klte variant.

Notice ; the messaging app is broken.
No blur effects.
Pure black theme not working.
Quad9 Dns not working you click on it, the settings app forceclose immediately , and then it goes back to Automatic dns.
The built-in “AudioFX” app is included in system apps but is not accessible from the home screen and has no option to open or use it.
Home screen need widgets.
anything rather than that works as intended.

There is some posts about this ROM in the XDA developers forum’s.

Well done and Thanks ronnz98 for your hard work and dedication, the ROM has some iPhone and Android vibes to it, and I like it.:facepunch:
Please keep going on this project.
We are looking forward to see some further improvements in future updates.
Good job !:muscle::+1:

Edge rounding is poorly identified (especially noticeable in the recent apps screen and app info UI, also the active apps in the Quick Settings panel).
Take a look at this picture.

I wish if there is ability to hide apps or to make secure folder then drop apps on it.
There is no background blur in the recent tasks view.

The Blur effect is applied only here!

Hi there,
I’ve got a Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) and the last update was 1.18 (2023). I guess I should update my OS but I don’t really know what my options are… Is one of the unofficial builds discussed here 100 % functional for the essentials (calls, SMS, internet, GPS, no battery drain…)?
Or should I turn to another OS?
Many thanks!
