27-minute OTA update without any problems. Initially had issues with USB file transfer to the SDXC in the device, but apparently caused by myself (too complicated archive name). Thank you
P.S.: In the meantime, I used these without problems: App Lounge (after the 1.12.3 update, three app updates became available and installed without problems), VLC (playing back an AAC radio stream), Deskclock’s (not the default clock app) stopwatch.

(Camera records completely black video from the moment surrounding light is too dark or changes into too dark when moving … years old issue I already had with Open Camera on LineageOS, can live with it.)

Edit : The only issue that i have noticed is on the tablet, using the GSI build, having “Night time” activate and rotating the screen will turn “Night mode” up all the way for a quick second (deep orange color) and then goes back to normal with the screen rotate. Doesnt crash, or miss a beat.
I wonder if there is an acknowledgement of the sideloading issue.
When it’s ends, it appears with “Total xfer: 0.98x”, is it expected to be 100.0 or something similar?
The download speed from the phone via cell or Wi-Fi (more them 100mbps) takes about an hour to download.
Will update in the following days, how the buttery behaves.
Samsung galaxy s10+ - successfully updated and it seems to have fixed some bugs that have been around for quite a while.
However, now the system is draining my battery 3 times faster than it should. It is draining it so fast, that even on charger, the battery percentage is still going down.
Android OS is the biggest consumer by far.
It is funny reading other people which say their previous battery issues were sorted by this update, as I never had any battery issues on any of the previous updates.
Also, the trackers blocking section of the Advanced privacy seems to have had a “shakeup” - lost all the data it had (after the phone restart it lost all info about which apps have which trackers), and now it’s only showing trackers for less than a third of the apps and cannot display any icons for any of the apps.
Was the release rolled back in whole or in part? I saw a notification on my Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact (xz2c) yesterday that it was available, but when I went to install it this morning it’s no longer available.
Yes, I did manually check for update availability, including following a device reboot. The update’s no longer offered.
I did dismiss the original notification (since I couldn’t update right at that moment), but I’d be surprised if that causes the update no longer to be offered or resets any availability.
Normally I’d think that once the update is offered it remains offered, but perhaps that’s not the case.
It is still offered. Randomly, like I said, I just tried https://ota.ecloud.global/api/v1/xz2c/dev a few times … sometimes it’s there. Keep hitting the refresh button in the updater.
Staggered releases/ staged rollouts make sense in their way, they are not done just for fun.
For users eager to update and report early depending on the device there might be beta test possibilities, and depending on the device you could still update manually (the builds are there for download, only what the updater sees seems to get randomised).
