Eco Charge is still missing (and maybe limiting charge state)
Chromecast does not work (MicroG crashes) but that could be a Google thing
Changing the USB behavior if connected to PC - No quick panel to change this, only if USB debugging is enabled (also only changeable if USB debugging is enabled and if disabled, then only for some time, then you cannot change it again)

App related issues:
Techniker Krankenkasse - App does not work anymore “P2 - Anfrage fehlgeschlagen → Es ist ein unerwartetes Problem mit Ihren Google Play-Diensten aufgetreten”
Tomorrow - “Its not possible to scan IBAN because device does not support it” (issue with camera?)

Update process was ok.
Again the known “reboot”. Today I felt a vibration and looked at the phone -
not possible to enter with biometrics it just went to the pin entering screen.
It looks like not really solving the “reboot” problem, it changed…
see here my last post v2.4
Also the “camera not connected failure” in dark environment is there - reproducible.
Flashlight mode at “no flash” or “automatic flash”,
it shows a short message

Tested one by one the new features relevant to me presented at release notes, and all of it worked just fine. General system behavior seens normall too.
Device: Teracube 2e (came preinstalled with /e/OS)
Previous OS: 2.4.1
Rooted: no idea
All of my gmail accounts completely stopped working. I tried re-authenticating them and got a page that said “This app tried to access sensitive info in your Google Account. To keep your account safe, Google blocked this access.”
Additionally, I tried to sign in to one of my alternate accounts using my browser, but Google tried to authenticate me using a mandatory push notification that never showed up. I don’t know what this “Google Prompts” thing is but it’s horrendous.
And before anyone gets on my case about how I should just delete all the email addresses I’ve been using for over a decade and start over from scratch with all new accounts: please don’t. I don’t need to hear it, ever.

Update from v2.4.1-t-official to v2.5-t-official
Not rooted
Update completed in 38 minutes with no issues.
Initial testing of basic functions & apps shows these appearing to be working fine: wi-fi, mobile data, bluetooth, GPS, phone, message, mail, browser (saved passwords accessible & working again), camera, app lounge (common apps) and various other apps.
The only app I’ve had an issue with so far is Bluesky. It asked me to login again, but when I selected my account I was faced with a spinning circle and no progress. After a reboot it’s now working fine again; I tried clearing the cache first but that made no difference.

I couldn’t upgrade for a few days due to a persistant download error (multiple tries) just in the beginning.
Opened a gitlab-issue a few days ago, no response.
Finally it worked.
The process broke down once until I set the display on a 30 min. timeout, and took some 1:12 hrs.
At the end a few apps crashed and the clock was inaccessible until it crashed, too.
Now I found some minor issues as using Maps the system keeps complaining that the app didn’t respond and offers to close it or to wait, while behind the popup Maps is working well, only I am unable to watch the screen due to the popup that lays on top of it and keeps coming back after a few seconds.
The major issue is the battery usage: The lasting dropped dramatically from 4,40 to 1,41 days, while the hourly usage more than tripled from 0,95% to 2,95% per hour.
This is the worst data since monitoring battery usage in January 2023 which are so far unexplainable, as I made no major changes since I graded up sunday night.
from what I tested so far UP works on herolte / S7 only with install of original ntfy instead of system-integrated fork (least with regards to test notification via UP-Example)

Upgrade to 2.5 was quick and good
Bug on Mail App sended messages don’t appear in the outbox
Bug on e.camera App the selfie option don’t work but it was the same problème in the last version.
Thanks for the developpers.
Update with no problems.
The only problem is the really slow cromite-browser too. Every click has a 3 second ‘sleeptime’ till it loads.
Have swept the cache and checked the settings. Unfortunately no effort, still slow…
Everything else works superfine, thanks for the devs.
Update went smoothly. The HDR-green-tinted-pictures issue seems to be patched in this version with the 1.53.1 update of open camera (/e/OS version).
Can’t send any mails using /e/OS mail app, they get stuck in the outbox (already existed in the previous version).
Many thanks for the good job !
Update itself went well.
However, the reboot to PIN entry is back (but feels like it’s happening less often).
I also can reproduce the camera connection issue in low light conditions, using FP5 original camera.
And in which way exactly is the selfie option not working?
Can you switch between the cameras but cannot take a photo?
Or is the switching between cameras not working?
Dont know about others but since it works for my S7 and there’s no documented issue in gitlab it might simply be a hardware failure of your device?
edit: Have You tried a 3-party camera app for testing purposes? like e.g. secure camera or else?
