Feedback for v3.3

Now is a good time to update. Speeds up to 10 MB/s .

It is 02:35 a.m. in Vienna, Austria.

The update is finally installing.

FP4 upgraded to 3.3 official without incident. FP camera is still there and working fine. Flashlight works as usual. Brightness (manual or automatic) works as always. Thanks for the new app icon for easy access to Web apps.

Manoj, et al., your efforts are appreciated.

FP6 Tap to wake up is targeted for v3.5 which would be coming around Feb mid :crossed_fingers:

No problem with the update, but the cast function still isn’t working. The device can recognize the network but cannot connect.

Merry Christmas

Not sure about which cast function you are referring to (chromecast is not compatible with e/os AKAIK) but at least I can cast e.g youtube videos using Grayjay app on my FP6 with e/os 3.3 to my TV (using FCast).

Fairphone 3

Previous: 3.2-t-20251022539004-official-FP3

My bancking app bunq is working again. I will initiate to close the issue.

The installation went without problems: IMG-e-3.3-a15-20251210556408-official-panther.zip

Revolut working, my home banking app also working.

I don’t have any problems so far, but I’ve barely had it installed for 24 hours. I haven’t had time to test it much.

Thanks for your answer TecMar. Unfortunately, the error message still appears. Don’t know why.

Update was smooth, but issue with App Lounge persists: still can’t download certain apps (haven’t tried everything, just happen to need a new app). This could be due to MicroG frequently crashing. Annoyingly Aurora store is not working either due to “Unable to resolve host “auroraoss.com”: no address associated with hostname.”

Official or community bulid ?

PF4 3.3Official ,fastboot flashing get_unlock_ability = 0,can’t lock it

Did you install 3.3 from scratch ?

The last steps after install (and checking the SPL) are

  1. Reboot your device into bootloader, via a key combination:
  • With the device powered off
  • hold Volume Down + Power
  1. In the command prompt, lock critical partition with the following command
  • fastboot flashing lock_critical
  • Approve with Volume + then power
  1. In the command prompt lock the device with the following command
  • fastboot flashing lock
  • Approve with Volume + then power

All fine on unrooted Pixel 5 redfin after update from 3.2-t to 3.3-t.

Download was very slow and unstable, just as it was the last time. I don’t know if those additional server capacities are in place already, maybe there are too many new users, which would be nice.

I too would appreciate if the OTA upgrade to A15 would appear on the horizon since the Pixel 5 is a Murena phone.

Anyhow, thank you Murena and Manoj for your work, merry christmas and a happy new year!

OTA Download failed overnight, resumed without problem and installed normal.

Wireless screencasting still fails since A14.

Otherwise is running well

Thanks E-Team and a Merry Christmas to you all !

yes,use fairphone os before install /e/os

I initially had the problem with Android Auto that the permissions for the notification were missing, Android Auto checked the permission all the time in the background. I couldn’t click on next either, the button had no function somehow, only after I clicked on “Continue on the mobile phone” on the car radio did the following submenu open which I had to activate.

Now Android Auto works.

Had some issues with the download yesterday. After the download finally worked the update ran without any issues. Good thing: After the last updates ran for several hours each this update took only about half an hour.

Up to now everything seems to work. Only thing I don’t like is the forced addition of the workspace icon. I would prefer if this was only forced for new installations. Unnecessary changes to an existing configuration should be avoided.
