Feedback for v3.7

Three issues after update:

  1. WiFi not working, can turn on but turns off immediately without finding any networks. Same issue as @macrisky
  2. Dual SIM not working, domestic SIM works in bay 2, foreign SIM in bay 1 does not. Initially mobile data was not working but fixed by disabling and enabling SIM 2.
  3. Battery draining faster after update.

Please advise on next steps :ok_hand:

As for dual SIM, there were no problems. I tried to reflash ONLY modem.img and bluetooth.img extracted from IMG-e-3.6-XXX (as someone advised, don’t remember exactly), but had no effect. Nevertheless, I have no time to wait for the problem to be resolved and ought to roll back to /e/OS 3.6 (full reflash) with data loss.

Keeping in mind that after updating from 3.6 to 3.7.3 there were some minor issues with flattening of application icons and loss of fast-call shortcuts, I suppose there is something wrong with adopting user data (or meta data) from 3.6 to 3.7.

Merci pour le conseil.

Since updating to 3.7.3, my FP6 seems to use less battery.
Mainly the network system’s battery usage went down.
So that is good.

Update from v3.7.1-a15-official to v3.7.3-a15-official
Not rooted

Updated yesterday, completed in 14 minutes with no issue.

Initial testing of basic functions & apps shows these appearing to be working fine: wi-fi, mobile data, bluetooth, GPS, phone, message, mail, App Lounge (common apps), and various other apps.

My new main phone after 5 years with my much loved FP3+ (now my backup). A few glitches still I’ve yet to get to the bottom of, but really liking it. Thanks for the update.

For me it is the same. FP6 freezes or hangs from time to time in different apps. I need to lock the phone with power button and unlock afterwards to resolve this quickly.

Update from i don’t remember to v3.7.3-a15-official
Not rooted

I have issues with my data connection. I changed the SIM card but it doesn’t help. The phone looses the connection to internet data. WiFi is fine.

Maybe it’s the phone, but it happens since the update.

Also, I updated Ingress Prime (3.8.1) and now it doesn’t work (again). This time, i have a nessage :

Not compatible with the phone’s configuration

It must be Niantic or Google that makes restrictions

All other App works fine ! :+1:

I am having the very same issue with the standard music App on my FP5 with 3.71 A15. Since I was listening to a Bluetooth speaker I suspected the connection to cause the problem. I did not test any other music player.

Same bug too for the music over bluetooth. I observed in in car and by each tracks it beginns 3 or 4 seconds, and jitter betwen 2 & 4s up & down. then I give start the track again and it plays the whole track, and make the same thing by the next track.( I’ve the pixel 8 pro husky).

Other bug with bluetooth one time I had the strange issue with the bluetooth of my car, that the phone told I was bound to the car, And the car was bound to the phone, but the car couldnd access to the any stuffs of the phone, source was not useable reachable don’t know exactly.
Afterward I try to disconnct to the car and reconnect. was a real dance jerk for connect disconnect. then was stable connected, and were fine. But not easy to reproduce.

The 1st one with the track jitter is easy to reproduce

pixel 8 pro husky has still enorm issue with launcher handling.
buttons (the 3 ones for home/back/reduce) reaction are sometimes not react.
Sometimes back make home. Sometimes make reduce the carousel available but it’s impossible to swipe for closing the app.
It’s sometimes funny to find a kind of combo to close an app. reduce or apply home.
I’m still search how to find a combo which is always the same…

My Boursobank app isn’t connecting anymore because of unofficial app, not from Google play store, or android not uptodate.

Any help ?

Hey getting the No internet connection on wifi on my home wifi again. This is on the Pixel 7a. This happened with the 3.7.1 and was fixed for a minute on 3.7.3, as in I updated on the day it came out and today is when I lost wifi.

Correted with @AudeM workaround [LIST] Banking Apps on /e/OS - #481 by AudeM thanks !

I can’t update to either version 3.7.1 or version 3.7.3. After downloading, the phone restarted and tried to install the update (white progress bar under the e.OS logo). At around 40%, the little green Android robot (with a red exclamation mark) appeared, and the phone restarted abruptly. I suspect this might be a problem with recovery mode? I’d be grateful for any help.

Best regards from Berlin

Pete

Unfortunately, I’ve encountered another issue while updating from e.OS v3.7.1 to v3.7.3 on my Motorola Edge 20.

When I try to install the downloaded update to v3.7.3, the updater keeps crashing over and over again, so I haven’t been able to install the update.

I would appreciate some support or a solution for this as well.

Thank you very much and best regards from Berlin

Pete

I noticed an increased PF6 battery use for v3.7.2 & v3.7.3.
Charged upto 80% could easily 5 to 6 days. Use time with v.2 & v.3 is being reduced by 50% (without changing use habit - even deactivated background battery usage:man_shrugging:). Hopefully this will be resolved by one of the upcoming V4 versions.
