Next to update 3.1.1 a few days after I had troubles with boursobank /Boursorama app.
Can an upgrade fix this ? This is really a dealbreaker I am stuck for online payements
We had a workaround for this issue. The team is working on resolving such issues being reported on different apps. Some of these issues are triggered by app developers modifying their code to prevent it from working on custom ROMs like /e/OS.

If you think about how /e/OS works, this can happen anytime, for any amount of time.
Now imagine the next /e/OS update being a month away (as it usually is) … then perhaps still not working around this (I avoid the term fixing because a real fix only would be to fix the App, which /e/OS can’t do) … and the next /e/OS update being another month away after that … if you can’t live with this, you are using the wrong OS.
Case in point: Have a look at the recent adventures with the popular Revolut App … Revolut (Banking app) no more running … Broken for 3 weeks, very briefly working with a new Revolut version, but quickly broken again with the next new Revolut version, supposedly working with a new /e/OS version, supposedly working with a further new Revolut version after 2 months … or not for a number of users.
This potentially is using any banking App on /e/OS. Many banking Apps are working well with /e/OS for quite some time, but this is not guaranteed. Plan accordingly.

Is This week still valid as a release date forecast? Sorry I am bit anxious - I need to rebuild my phone from ‘ashes’ 
The reboot problem on the FP6 is also a deal breaker.
I have not been able to use my phone for 10 days now.
Many apps are useless without location services and the only way to keep the phone stable is to disable location services.
How could we, as a community, prevent this? More testers? Slower OTA vs. Community releases cycle?
Something must be done : I am thinking of more normie users - that must be frustrating for them who might not understand what’s going on as they might not be on these forums.
Builds are still running ! There is a huge list of devices …200 + . Will share the update when we are able to start publishing. Should be in 1-2 days.

We are first going to test this fix on the FP6 with US based volunteer testers. Will update.

In our capitalist world it is indeed quite difficult to “live without” a banking app. And captilsm will still live for a long time rather we like it or not.
Point of e/os/ project from my undersranding was to get free from google but still use popular apps. And be accessible to wide and large users not only developpers.

I guess the problem here is that many apps do work but some of the “most popular” are themselves dependent on Google and are popular due to perceived convenience.
Many old fashioned banks with a physical base are usable on /e/OS.
Just my opinion, those banks which assume they could ensure their security by use of an advertising agency maybe do not have very good security themselves. From the bank’s point of view though, bank robbers often wear a mask, far easier to wear a mask on a custom ROM than a ROM with “security” offered by their advertising agency.

Banking Apps are not such a quasi-requirement in capitalism. There’s a choice. Or peer pressure, but that would also not be capitalism’s fault.
Then your troubled App is not popular by definition.
Or technical reality exists despite marketing claims.
Or both.
Not everybody with a basic understanding of what they are dealing with using /e/OS is a nerd/geek/developer/wizard .

If build a new version of /e/ OS for more 200 device take 3 days, it’s a little hard to promise a release for “This week”?? Or may be /e/ OS’s team have 6 days on his week’s work??
In french: Si construire une nouvelle version de /e/ OS pour plus de 200 matériels prend 3 jours, n’est-ce pas difficile avec la promesse d’une sortie pour " cette semaine"? Ou bien l’équipe de /e/ OS travaille sur des semaines de 6 jours??
Please be patient. Guys are working hard to give us quality product without bugs. It will not be wise to release ASAP with many bugs which would have to be repaired… Quality over quantity is best way to go.

I understand that for 3.1.4 coding is already finished, now we need to wait till it’s compiled and images are uploaded to server.
Interestingly this same question is showing up on the forum as well as on the internal channels. Of builds all in various stages of completion, holding up other application builds. The teams are working to complete the v3.1.4 release on priority.

Some of us have been waiting since late July for A15 when first anounced.
Unfortunately builds continue to fail for certain devices.
Nothing we can do but wait and hope devs to get it going.
You can check with the v3.1.4 release which should start in a days time.
So… Remembering that you guys don’t like releasing new version by the end of the week we can assume that 3.1.4 will be published on Monday at the earliest…?

Looking forward to being able to use my FP6 again. Without location services there are not many apps that are useful. It’ been two weeks without it and I find it tough.
Is there anything that will be done to prevent such dysfunction to occur again in official updates ?
