Release
v2.9
Status: Pending release
ETA: Release starting from 31 Mar to 7 April
Highlights:
Notes app fix to allow sync with the cloud.
Google Pixel 8 shiba install process updated with a script (documentation change).
Release notes will be shared once the release is initiated.
Updates on OnePlus Nord avicii official build inclusion will be shared.
Note: If MurenaCloud patch number differs from NC patch number, the rating may appear as bad . This is not an issue; patches are tested before deployment.
Is it possible to put this disclaimer on the online access where currently sync is turned off? I am sure people will miss this very important part even with Forum posts, Newsletter, Mail, etc.
I have seen that in the release details, I was just wondering as I have a notes desktop app connected to my /e/cloud account and it still displays “server connection offline”. But I’ll recheck until v2.9 has arrived for my device.
Take a backup of any data you have on your device. We have observed during testing that some local files can get overwritten or deleted when sync started. The team resolved the issues around it but it is best to take a backup just to be on the safe side.
- Before proceeding ensure you have taken a backup of the notes you have on your device.
On your cloud you would need to enable a toggle.
Murena Cloud Dashboard >> Tap or click on your Profile ( top right corner ) >> In the menu that would open up, Click on Settings >> In the left side menu select Client Synchronization
In the screen that opens up , enable the checkbox as shown below.
Hello,
I would like to report a bug on mail app. Since 2.9 update on fairphone 4 Murena, the mail app has recovered my old mail account password (I changed the password some year ago) and thus fails to login to the server. I changed the password in the mail app settings section, which temporarily works but the app keeps switching back to the old password, failing login again and again. I tried to clean all user data and recreate my accounts on the app but still, after a while, the app uses the wrong password again and fails retrieving the account emails.
Has anyone else experienced this issue ?
Thanks
Do you know if the upgrade to Android 14 for the oneplus nord avicii that is proposed on your site have to be done manually, or is it planned to be later available in OTA via updates in the phone settings ? Because so far, the update search has only offered me version 2.9 on Android 12, and I thought you offered the possibility of switching from one major version to another for this model of phone and the stable (official) builds.
The avicii A14 official build has not been released as yet. We will release it shortly. We are still testing the build. It will be an OTA OS upgrade from A12 to A14 and we want to ensure it works smoothly.
Is there a timeline for the pixel 5 redfin A14 official build ? Not asking for a precise date but would be interested to know if it’s coming in a few months, end of the year or next year.
From /e/OS community avicii download … note Community this would be possible for a phone on the community release channel.
A user on the community release channel is free to do a manual upgrade to Android 14 (U) (a14) in their own time (by which I mean, no pressure at this moment, but it is a thing to have “front of mind”.
The prospects of Android version upgrade on official are different.
