@Manoj in “OS OTA Information” the tables may not look how they should (?) ( → “Completed Upgrades” and “Testing Phase”)

Thanks for pointing that out @obacht . Have corrected it.

I like the new accents to each point. It was refreshing today to view weekly update.

Reduced the text and added a lot of emojis. Similar template as our release notes.

Personally very excited for A15 release hoping for a SMS issue finally fixed by LOS.

Gracis everyone @ e/os, devs.

The official backup documentation says that it should be visible to all users by end of June.
What is the actual status then? I still can’t see this folder.
Thanks!

Some of the user accounts are proving to be difficult to retrieve. The team is still working on extracting data from some of the shards. Will have the official document updated.

The next release number would be v3.1.1 . We are moving the release date to next week :crossed_fingers:
v3.1 development is not complete as yet. Plus we are also identified some bugs during testing which has made us move the release a week ahead and update the version number to v3.1.1

I really like the approach of stability over speed. It is better to have a working system which is feature complete and almost bug free than to have a fixed release date.

De we already know the date of the security patch level that will go into v3.1.1? I’m currently running v3.0.4 (SPL June 1, 2025) but wait for the next version to relock the bootloader on my FP6 because the stock OS SPL was June 5, 2025. However it seems there was no SPL in July released by Google. So will the SPL remain on June 1 in v3.1.1?

Does this mean supported? Official sounds like the ‘official build’, which kinda sounds strange as a suggestion

https://source.android.com/docs/security/bulletin

Yes. the official version means the official build. I have updated it in the initial post. The idea is official builds on A12 will continue to come till we are ready to release the OS OTA or official build for higher OS levels for these devices.
Taking a backup of existing data is recommended before proceeding.

But as soon as for the device running S (a12) an official upgrade OTA exists, then a community build with a13 (or what ever version it will be) will be published again, right?

Yes we will create community builds on the A13 or what ever OS version. The important point is if we are able to create A13 or higher versions for the S7.

Thank you for clarifying, sometimes the obvious sounding is not so obvious.

Every device had an EOL unfortunately. The S7 had a good run I would say.

Hello all, I’ve got a pixel 7 under /e/os since 1 year.

When I see the delay between cve detection and /e/os patch I’m thinking about security on my phone.

The objective of /e/os is mostly the privacy but what is privacy if there is a data leak ?

Is there a way to patch our os more quickly?

Thank you

HI,

Will the upcoming v3.xx version be available for Xiaomi Poco X3 Surya for A14 ? There is no update from version 2.9 for A14. Only A13 is updated. I also saw in a previous post that A15 would be available for Surya, but I don’t see it on the new lists. Should I downgrade to A13 to get the future updates ? It seems weird to me…

Many thanks for the great job !
