Expected Release Date: donโ€™t wait for it

HAL changes being done upstream in LOS get pulled and breaking builds. Will not have the final list of devices which will get the A15 build, until all the build stops.

Would it be safer to go with LineageOS + MicroG instead, for now?

Is that not another reason for decoupling OS updates from security patches (in the future) ? Partly due to the stupid antirollback protection system from Google (not e/OS fault), we need faster security patch release to transition to e/OS.

You mean I should not smash the update button every 20 seconds?

Every 30 sec would be fine

Coming from CalyxOS, currently running 3.0.4 A15 Community on Shiba (Pixel 8). Some of my apps are less stable than they were on CalyxOS. Looking forward to 3.1.1 A15 Official.

Keep up the good work! I dont know what all those acronyms mean. Do you have a glossary somewhere?

I would love to be involved somehow but i do not yet understand you development life cycle/process.

If you have some doc somewhere on how to get involved i would certainly be interested to read it.

General question about the release workflow for devices: It looks like the device images are built in Gitlab CI. Is the build status public? Or can I only see builds after they are release, e.g on /e/OS community FP6 download ?
I mainly would like to know when I can expect my Fairphone 6 to be able to zoom again, but do not want to regularly bother anyone here in the forum.

Also if there is an additional delay between community and official release builds, Iโ€™d be interested in process details.

This guide should give you some idea about the different build types which would be a starting point.

Well, week is almost over. Wonder if my phone gets the update or not. :face_in_clouds:

No it wonโ€™t, as you can read here:

Ah ok, didnt see that. He also mentioned that some builds failed. I guess FP5 is among them, because Version 3.11 expired on 27. August (stated on Gitlab).
