How to check the NextCloud version click here

You can find the complete documentation and current NC version under Login – Murena >> NextCloud xx user documentation. The xx should show the latest version.

  • Another way to check the current version is to check the NextCloud scan link and input https://murena.io this should display the current version number as well as the security level.

:information_source: Please note if MurenaCloud patch number is not the same as the NC patch number, the rating would show up as bad \U0001f610 This is not exactly a problem. We do not immediately jump to the next NC patch as soon as it is released. We first test it and then set out with the deployment.

GSI

  • Current GSI version is on /e/OS Q and v1.17

  • Download available here

  • Sources available here

:point_right: GSI OS version will next move to T or A13 skipping the R and S . Team is working on /e/OS T GSI. Will share release dates once available

Our definition of an OS OTA upgrade

Usually for /e/OS ROMs to upgrade the OS you have to do the following

  • If available download the correct OS build from the supported device list

  • For some devices you also need to download the stock ROM from the vendor site.

  • Take a back up of your data

  • First install the Stock ROM

  • Next install the /e/OS ROM. Here you can take help of the install guides available on our documentation site.

  • If required apply the backups you downloaded before starting the whole process

An alternate to this tedious process is where we offer the user the option to upgrade the OS OTA. This option is available for stable device builds only.

This process is easy for the user but requires a lot of development and testing effort.

Hey there Manoj,

  1. Thank you, as always, for the weekly updates.
  2. I’m running one of Ronnie’s unofficial builds of /e/OS 2.5 U, and so far, it’s perfect (I know unofficial builds aren’t candidates to post on the version threads…but I figured that an ‘all good, no issues’ post here would be acceptable  ).
  3. I’m wondering if there’s any information to share regarding the App Lounge outage. It’s been wonky for me for a few weeks. I’m not asking for an ETA here, but I’m just curious as to what’s causing the outage that is in the process of being addressed.
  4. Regarding the /e/Cloud release discussions…is there at least a known goal of which Nextcloud release is being targeted for integration? Is there a possibility of getting Nextcloud 31 / PHP 8.4, or are we likely to be upgrading to an intermediate build?

Thank you again, as always.

As mentioned in the initial post, the development team is working on fixing the bug. It is a code related issue.

For now, the teams are fully engaged in resolving the outage related issues. Maybe we can get to the upgrade related discussions after the outage has been resolved.

Hello @Manoj

Stable version 2.5 has still not been released for the Oneplus nord avicii.

There are 2 blocking issues for the avicii which is preventing the release. One is related to the NFC not working and the other is regarding booting issues when installation is performed on a device in factory conditions.

The issues are with the developers but do not have a ETA for the fix.

Great news.

Is it still true what is written on XDA forum (https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-alpha-tetris-14-e-os-for-cmf-phone-1.4692763/)?

Known Issues:

  • Wide angle lens
  • Fingerprint
  • Haptics
  • Widevine L1
  • SELinux Permissive

The developer on XDA is also our maintainer for the device. He has updated the issue list on XDA. Yes, these are the known issues with the build as of now. Team is working on resolving these bugs.
